TRAITRS is a Toronto duo making post-punk and darkwave with a cinematic edge. Possessor (2026) was written through a harsh Toronto winter; one member calls it “the most personal record I have ever written,” circling grief, isolation and ecstatic release. On “I Was Ill, You Were Wrong,” echoing synths meet jagged guitar sweeps and a steady voice. One review hears the early Cure in it, “a strength, not a crutch,” channeled without imitation.
