Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats build doom-laden psych rock out of Black Sabbath's riffs and Hawkwind's speed, run through enough fuzz that the vocals come out sounding almost demonic. Live, the bass lands in your chest as much as your ears, and the whole set builds one continuous, consuming wall of sound. They've started their own label, Killer Candy Records, with a new album due behind the just-released single “Don't Let It Control You.” Italian doom act Messa opens every date.
