Hulder

Hulder is one-woman black metal from Portland, rooted in the second-wave records that hooked its creator (Burzum, Darkthrone, Dissection). She heard them as “an auditory portal” to the dreary medieval surroundings of her Belgian childhood. Cold tremolo riffs meet folk melody under a raw, torchlit production. She writes and plays nearly everything herself, calls the project “an extension of myself,” and treats the stage as ritual: preparing for a show is how she steps into Hulder.

“Portland's medieval-minded black metal, headlining at home and in Seattle.”
