Howling Giant
Howling Giant is a Nashville band that began as a college jam under the name Skulldozer and grew into heavy, jam-oriented psychedelic rock: harmony-driven vocals, snaking grooves and stoner-rooted heaviness with progressive and traditional-metal touches. Songs are built on hooks, a habit the band credits to Nashville’s songwriting culture, and fantasy and science fiction supply the imagery. A DIY outfit that streams its rehearsals, mistakes included, it released its third album, Crucible & Ruin, in 2025.
“Nashville heavy psych band on a Midwest run, Indianapolis to Minneapolis.”
