Deceits
Deceits build their post-punk out of deathrock, hardcore, dream pop, and '90s screamo, closer in spirit to The Cure and Joy Division than anything more polished. Live, their frontman plays up close — jumping into the photo pit, leaning back into the crowd at the barricade — under stage lights soaked in gloomy reds, blues, purples, and greens. Their debut album, If There's No Heaven... (2023), plays that same tension between tragedy and hope.
