Deceits
Deceits build their post-punk out of deathrock, hardcore, dream pop, and '90s screamo, closer in spirit to The Cure and Joy Division than anything more polished. Live, frontman Kevin “Puppy” Moreno plays up close — jumping into the photo pit, leaning back into the crowd at the barricade — under stage lights soaked in gloomy reds, blues, purples, and greens. Their debut album, If There's No Heaven... (2023), plays that same tension between tragedy and hope.
