Chat Pile

Chat Pile is an Oklahoma City noise rock band whose harsh, scraping riffs and pummeling bass carry songs about everyday dread: violence watched on screens, neglect of unhoused people, the numbing pull of devices. Its third album, Who Loves the Sun, leans on melody and hooks without losing the weight, and its stated aim is “trying to keep one’s humanity in a time of extreme anti-humanity.” Gallows humor runs through it, and the live shows are, one review says, “uproariously fun.”

“Oklahoma City noise rock on the Who Loves the Sun tour with Soul Glo and Shallowater, Millvale to Lawrence.”
